Backup Procedures Before Reinstalling TRIUMF Nodes
Candidates for backup include the following trees:| Directory | Reason |

| /root | capture old root shell history, specific changes to the profile and/or the ssh autority, and previous anaconda install logs. |
| /etc | all configuration information is here. |
| /var | If too big and/or not very interesting always backup /var/log (for log files) and /var/spool (for cron jobs) |
